Brand-First Breakdown: Duradry

Duradry creates products for excessive sweating and has helped over 250,000 people sweat less and get their confidence back.

We're breaking down their product display page (PDP) and offering a couple of tweaks to make it an even better user experience and conversion machine. Let's jump in!

1. Every single pixel above your add to cart is critical. Dial in every detail and watch the conversion climb!

 Suggestions to Test:

  • Show image thumbnails instead of dots – this allows them to see what's there to explore.

  • Show the savings, and show users they're saving by purchasing all 3. On that note, currently, the 3-step system isn’t cheaper than the single products bought on their own – why? There should be a minimal discount associated with bundling if you want users to see the value.

  • Cut down secondary content to 3 bullets max.

2. We've said it before and we'll say it again - don't make users hunt for information. Make every choice simple by providing all critical info.

Suggestions to Test:

  • Remove the fragrance thumbnails. Convert to a dropdown that describes each scent and default to the most popular. If you’re using more than 5 words to describe the scent, start again.

  • Make your frequency selectors feel more actionable and clear.

  • Highlight the savings louder (subscribe)

  • Add a secondary link to see the subscription details. (See image below!)

  • Pull price into your add to cart so users aren’t looking back and forth.

3. Even though this information is further down the page, it’s important for users to be able to access it where it’s most relevant & convenient.

Add an easy-to-close pop-up outlining the subscription details.

4. Duradry has reviews at the bottom of this PDP which are great and robust but it's important to offer another option.

Suggestion to Test: Not all users need to read long-form formal reviews – add a simple cross-section to call out a really great review or snippet of a review that communicates the product value crystal clear.

5. You May Also Like: Don’t let users leave the PDP without accessing more PDP’s!

Suggestions to Test:

  • Remove review pagination (1,2,3) and replace with an action to load more reviews.

  • Surface a ‘you may also like’ style cross-section that allows users to shop for other products. In this case (from the 3-step page) we suggest allowing them to shop for individual products.

Founders Five 🖐

Founder: Jeff Sheldon is an incredible product designer and the founder of Ugmonk which creates well-designed objects with a minimal aesthetic.

He's the creator of the productivity tool Analog which works alongside your digital tools by helping you focus on your most important work. Check it out below!

Oddit: As the designer of the world’s simplest productivity system we assume you’re a rather productive guy - what’s the morning routine look like?

Jeff: Ha, well you’d assume I‘m a pretty regimented person but I‘m kinda the opposite. My morning routine usually consists of being woken up by my kids(4 and 6). Then it's a mix of playing with my kids, getting them breakfast, while my wife and I try to enjoy our morning coffee before I head out (we take our coffee pretty seriously around here).

The first thing I do when I get into the studio is fill out my Analog card for the day. Otherwise, I’m all over the place. I know it sounds simple, but Analog really is what keeps me on track.

Oddit: You’ve found tremendous success as a product designer for a long time – what resources have been most helpful for taking your design game to the next level?

Jeff: It can be tempting to focus on current design trends and what's hot right now, but one of the things I always find helpful is studying the work of the master designers and architects from 50+ years ago.

There's a reason why the work of Dieter Rams, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Charles & Ray Eames still looks great to this day, and I'm always on the quest to incorporate more of that timeless design into my work.

Oddit: In your opinion, what’s the biggest misconception about becoming a more productive human being?

Jeff: I think we have the tendency to think of productivity in terms of quantity and speed. But the reality is that doing more is not necessarily better.

It’s all about working on the right things. Prioritization is the key to meaningful productivity.

Oddit: Outside of Ugmonk, what’s your favorite lifestyle brand (that you use), and which lifestyle brand inspires you the most?

Jeff:  Hm, that’s hard to pick a favorite but a few brands that have been inspiring me recently are Teenage Engineering, Paynter Jacket, Rama Works, and Graza.

Oddit: You’re working on some killer new stuff – any chance we can get a sneak peek into one of Ugmonk’s upcoming drops?

Jeff: Something huge in the works, but I can’t spill the beans quite yet. Let’s just say your desk is going to thank you 🙂 Sign up to be the first to know when it drops: ugmonk.com/newsletter
