There's fear, and then there's FOMO

Tip #3 - Fear of losing out is the biggest fear of them all. Use it.
There are plenty of psychological studies that the pain of loss is bigger than the joy of gain, and you can short-circuit buying behavior by pointing out what people will be missing out on if they donât take action.
Thatâs right: weâre talking about countdowns.

In the final hours of a countdown, youâll see a big bump in your conversion because people donât wanna miss out. Donât make a six week counterâthatâs not urgent. But you can win when your counter has a daily or biweekly element to it.
